Mission Statement
As members of St. Matthew Parish in Bellevue, Nebraska, we join in the mission of Jesus through our Baptism, and so commit ourselves to live the values expressed in the gospel message.
Nature and Purpose
This parish, being dedicated to Christ through the intercession of St. Matthew, seeks to imitate our patron's faith and inspiration by openness to the Holy Spirit within our parish, local community and the world at large. As such, we:
- Worship by providing an atmosphere and opportunities for a diversity of people to pray in our Catholic faith
- Spread the Word by educating and forming our members and others in the ways of our faith
- Serve by following the example of Jesus in compassionate response to the spiritual and corporal needs of those around us
- Live Stewardship by accepting and caring for the gifts and talents God has given, seeking to use them wisely and responsibly
